Get published... Enter The Lantern Writing Contests!
Deadline is Jan. 6, 2006
1. In 300 words or less, describe "A Day at Ohio State." Whether you
choose
to write about a day you experienced last week or 20 years ago, make
sure
your entry includes specific details and ties to campus. Show us a take
on
life at OSU that is unique, challenging, surprising or memorable.
Creative
use of language is encouraged. Entries for this contest are due by
January
6, 2006 to humes.14@osu.edu. Please put "Day@OSU" in the subject line of
the
e-mail. Entries will be judged by a panel of student editors, and top
selections will receive a variety of prizes. All entries will be
considered
for publication in The Lantern or on The Lantern Web site, and
submission
constitutes permission to publish. This contest is open to current OSU
students, faculty and staff. Current and past Lantern staff and
employees
are ineligible.
2. In 300 words or less, describe "My Gameday at Ohio State." Using the
same
general rules as stated above, focus on a football gameday. Please put
"Game@OSU" in the subject line of the e-mail.
